What’s in a color?

What does the “Aragon” crayon look like to you?

Some years ago I bought a curious book, Colorstrology, at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Abiquiu, NM. From time to time I’ll look up the color for a friend’s birthday. It’s often weirdly accurate, in terms of both the color itself, as something flattering and preferred, as well as the overall vibe and copy.

When it came time to create this website, I looked into “my” color.

Aragon. Okay!

Communicator! Sharp! Quick-witted! When I’m doing it right — yes!

For what it’s worth, “aragon” gets me. Warm, earthy, “neutral” in terms of being complementary to a wide range of other natural tones. I own a number of aragon-adjacent garments, and mix and match them with all manner of colors, including one another: from an eggplant shirt mixed with burnt sienna pants, to a quasi-rust corduroy shirtdress and terra cotta trousers, all of them can live alongside blues, greens, golds, and more.
